I always catch Loi Krathong myself and will be there for it this year (10/24 - 11/09).

 

Biego ... I'm not sure what you mean ... Loi Krathong is always on the full moon. Actually the "first" full moon in November. (In 2001 there was a full moon on 11/01 as well as 11/30)

 

Hacker, it would be easiest to do a Google search ... there are probably a million websites where you can read up on it.

If you google also spell it Loy Krahtong.

 

Loy Krathong can be already in the end of october as it's based on the lunar month. I haven't seen any official website yet announcing the date for 2007....

I have been the during the last 3 Loi Krathong's and its been great!! The only problem seems to be getting around town Beech Rd is always at a stand still and walking street has so much going on its like Oxford Street during xmas and the january sales!! "Its an experience"

You're right elef, I don't have a clue. Who knows where that site got their info. The full moon is in the 24th and that's Loy Krathong according to Thai Visa.

I was in town last year, but damn it, I was singing and didn't get a chance to get out and about, and I also screwed up as it was my last night in town and I had an early plane, so this factor also kept me from getting out and about more. I got the date confused!

 

 

Not this year! Gonna enjoy it all! Beautiful ladies in their traditional Thai clothes! Lovely!
