Hey all beautiful out there in Thailand and everywhere in the world..

 

this is my first post and my first ever visit to Thailand..i wud be in thai from 20th dec 2006 to 10th jan 2007.

 

Wat i wud like to know is

 

a) how far are phuket and pattaya? (distance and time taken)

 

how far is Phuket or pattaya from Krabi (by road or by rail nd how do i book my tickets?)

 

c)how far is bangkok from phuket or pattaya? (by road or by rail nd how do i book my tickets?)

 

d) and im looking fr some backpackers kinda deal...

 

any input wud be highly appreciated.

This is a tough question to answer - From where - The moon?

 

Almost everybody arrives via Air to Bangkok, and Pattaya is a 2 hour taxi, or if you are a really Cheap Charlie, a bus. I don't know how to take the bus from he new airport, but I'm sure someone here does. Expect to pay about 1200-1500 Baht for a taxi, depending on your arrival time, and busses may not be available, as a lot of flights arrive around midnight.

 

As for Puket, take a plane from Bangkok, but why would you want to go there?
