Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule

Recommended Posts

The roll-out wasn't delayed by wiring problems. It took place some 20 months prior to the article being written.

You're getting there - slowly but surely. :thumbup

Now show us how you calculated the 787's BEP after the delays, compensation payments, cancellations, exchange rate movement etc etc have been thrown into the mix. As I said, you haven't got a clue. :D

Like I said the A380 is nowhere near break even and it doesn't look like it will get there in 20 years. Sad day for the EU taxpayer. :D

You guys will have to carry on this ridiculous topic without BigD, but rest assured, he will be able to read it.

So few Rolls Royce Trent engines used on the A380 and so many problems.

We're talking about your grand claims re the 787's BEP. You've already proved you know nothing about the A380's BEP - there's absolutely no need to confirm it. :D

You can't forecast what the future is for the A380....... especially with your track record on forecasts for the 7LATE7! :D

You can be sure if BigD shakes his leg, his left foot will always end up stuck firmly in his gob. :D

From Boeing's own mouthpiece .... he reckons it'll take a thousand 787's to reach the BEP. Whose judgement do you go with; Aboulafia's or Denny's?

And the longer the delay.... the higher the BEP will rise.... :thumbup

I already told you what the A380 break even point is. They are nowhere close to reaching it anytime soon. So sad. EU Taxpayer :moon

We know what you said about the A380. We also know what you said about the 787. :thumbup

You'll get something right one day.

There again, maybe not. :moon

I gotta go with Denny.

I'm booked in to the Skyslop for 2 weeks next year and have my pen ready for the "legil" contract.

Also have reserved a 4-top at PIC Kitchen for me, Denny, Henry, and Yuri (gonna spill out a little brew for my niggah, in respect).

Also trying to contact Mok to get a bit off that SpongeBob-like booty. :thumbup

Knowing Denny's liking for gang-bangs and whisky, just be careful when he offers to pass the 18 year-old around.

There's no bigger racist on the board than you. This whole thread is testament to your xenophobia spilling over; time and time again.

Your (sic) the one that accused Hub of making a racist comment by using the word "niggah". Do you have any idea about anything? :party

Anyway, your (sic) the one that starts threads about kicking Euro butt and EU sucks the big one. And how about the superiority of Americans/Israelis? Isn't that how Hitler started - with the same sort of claims of some superior race? There's plenty more examples. :party

BTW, you conveniently forgot about the BEP for the 787 ....... again. :thumbup

The Airbus A380 is a loser. It's poorly designed in Europe. Poorly assembled in Europe and has once again poorly designed and built European Rolls Royce engines. Sales have fallen off a cliff and the A380 is nowhere near turning a profit. I wonder what group of engineers are the most incompetent? Could it be the French, German's or the British?

I think you'll find it's the 787 sales that have fallen off a cliff. :kissing As for profit .... you'll 'make the big move' before that happens. :thumbup

LOL. My next 'big move' is downstairs. I'll see you there. Boeing has sold more then enough of the 787 to insure a profit. Airbus A380 is a big time loser.

Boeing 7LATE7 orders gained over the last 2 years -63 :thumbup

Airbus A380 orders gained over the last 2 years +36 :kissing

So which is the loser? :thumbup

And still no sign of the Nightmareliner resuming test-flights!!! :chogdee

Why don't you tell us the TOTAL number of orders for each aircraft? And, while you are at

it, how many of those 36 for airbust were from Emirates and how many of the two hundred

and 30 something of the a380 that have been sold have been ordered by Emirates? Somewhere

over 40% by one airline?

Think Emirates will actually take delivery of all of them? Where are they going to get the customers?

Oh, that is right. Since they have airbus and, therefore, Europe by the balls, the airlines of those countries

will have to grin and bear it while Emirates cannibalizes their customer base.

Even with the current orders the A380 is nowhere close to break even. Boeing is well over the break even point. Yes the Boeing 787 has been delayed but it will fly. You can kid yourself all you want to but the 787 will turn a profit.

Emirates have the custom.... that's why they need the A380, because it is more economical for them to use the A380 on routes where they were filling the 777's every day. Emirates is a forward thinking airline, with an expanding network, and they are a demonstration that a "Hub" network is workable.

Incidentally, in addition to the 234 definite orders, several airlines have options on additional aircraft. So that 40% figure for Emirates will drop to 30% or below eventually.

Wishful thinking! Unless many countries repeal their laws designed to keep out "foreign" competition, and therefore, protect their airlines, Emirates doesn't stand a chance of filling all the aircraft they have on order with both Airbus and Boeing. Fortunately, for Boeing, they have a more diversified order book than Airbust.

BTW, you didn't answer the questions. How many 787s are on order? 847 as of the end of November 2010.

How many a380s has Emirates ordered? 90, isn't it? Out of 234?

How about another question. How many a380s have been canceled? Twenty isn't it? Ten each from Federal Express and UPS?
