I have to get hold of one of these 20 x 20 cm re-sealable bags for the first time since the overkill regs, due to necessary medicine bottles, but nobody I know can direct me where to get hold of them in the UK. Any help please ... Tescos, Boots maybe ????????

Need to get one in next couple of days, so mail order no good.

The problem is that the items that have to be packed in clear plastic containers have, I think, to go into ONE container. :clap2

Typical over reaction as always!

Thanks for all replies. In the end Manchester Airport supply them if needed just before security. Security then totally disregarded it all, and were more worried about a small pot of Talcum Powder ! :chogdee2

Any UK supermarket (ASDA) should have them. Look in the garbage bag section. I use the ziplock brand.

Submarineman

Regarding the 'ziplock' brand you mention.

Is it also waterproof?

I ask as the waterproof, plastic case (placed inside my Pacsafe waist wallet) I use to store my passport, money, has broken (zip).

Could you do me a favour please??

Place some paper in one of these bags, zip/close it, then submerge the whole bag in water for a couple of mins, (in sink).......then dry the bag and take the paper out.

If the paper is bone dry.........then I'll drive down to my local Asda and buy some.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

When I was Kayaking on the River Kwai, I had my passport/cash/TC's, in the waterproof plastic pouch (now broken) contained within my Pacsafe waist wallet. I'd previously tested it and I knew it was 100% waterproof. So even if I had capsised, my document would have been safe and dry.

I did not leave them at the hotel at the River Kwai, as there was no 'in room safe' and I always wear the waist wallet under my clothes, so I figure the whole lot is safer on me :chogdee2

So I guess I will be buying some Asda 'ziplock' bags.

Yes- this is it - the black one looks best - the trouble with keeping your wallet in your front pocket, is it could be pulled out by your own hand, when completely pissed - I've done this myself, so I know it can happen.

Wear the pacsafe branded item, under your clothes (just below the belt area - it's very secure, comfortable and no one can pick pocket you - go out and get pissed in complete confidence - walk around with all your documents, without a care in the world.

thread hijack over :D
