I've been invited to North Korea, and would like to have the best memory flash card for my Canon rebel.Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated. thank you Airborne

The more memory the better.

 

What size are you going to be taking the photos at? I assume you will be shooting high resolution photos hence the need for a lot of memory.

Depends how many pics you want on one card and what your quality settings are. As a rule of thumb, allow 3.5mb for each pic at the highest setting on the Canon 300D/Rebel.

The flash memory today is quite reliable, BUT, I still prefer a number of smaller cards for a couple of reasons. Sometimes I take pictures that I don't want certain people to see, so after I have the photos, I change the memory card. If by chance a card does happen to go bad, you have not lost everything. One gig cards are plenty big enough.

Garry is right. It is much better to have more and smaller cards than big ones.
