ADSL nr macraban lake

Hi guys .

my house is being built, soi patana 1, nr the lake.

does anyone live out there or know if adsl lines are avialable out that far .

don't really want to try and dload my english programs off the net with a mobile connection

The problem is not with ADSL but with the telephone line availability and the distance from their "booster" or whatever. Some people waiting near Soi 16 Siam Country Club for a long time now as no telephone lines.

yes ,, but do they go out as far as the other side of the lake with adsl ?

I have a spare line in Jomtien I could transfer if they can do it that far.

and i have a freind who lives on soi siam county club who does have adsl already .

 

i wonder if it would be viable to set up a pair of Cisco Aironet 340's with 21dBi Dish's

and piggy back off his line or even setup a wimax system

 

any rules and regs in thailand of using this type of setup/equipment ?

Doubt it. Its 200 feet up in the air and unless you're spiderman or superman or some other flying creature, you're not coming in through the window are you ?
