Hong Kong & Macau Hotel

We arrive in Hong Kong Jan. 2 - Depart Jan. 6

 

 

 

I would like to hear some hotel suggestions. Will be traveling for 5 weeks in all so I'm on a three star budget.

 

 

 

Plan on spending the first night or two in Hong Kong then off to Macau for a couple of nights.

If it's just a clean room in which to sleep, you can get a decent room in Mirador Mansions for around £30 on the Kowloon side.

I sometimes stay in an apartment on the Hong Kong side.

 

Depends on your budget and requirements.

if your after a bit of mongerin get urself in the holiday inn , top bar and rooms are good no hassle either

If you are looking for a hotel on the island side close to the pick up bars and subway train stations etc, I can recommend the "Wharney hotel", you should be able to get it for around $95-$100 us that time of year on www.agoda.com

 

Anything cheaper is just a shit hole when it comes to Hong Kong.

 

Flying there from Thailand? It is much cheaper to fly to Macau with Air Asia and get a ferry to Hong Kong, the airfares from BKK to HKG are just bullshit, the dearest asia flights I've seen.

I live in Pattaya full time but travel to Macau about 5 times a year and always stay in the Lisboa hotel/casino, it's 5 star but rates are only around $us 130 p/n.
