Originating in TH to USA RT (March APril)

Sugestions for web dsicount sites, originating in TH?

I tried, but was unable to buy a ticket to the U.S. for my wife, originating in LOS. I then went to a travel agent and found that they were not cheap, due to the fact that the U.S.$ is in the toilet.

Have you tried the airline's own web-sites?

I've been able to obtain prices for return flights from Bangkok to Scotland from them without too much difficulty.

You might want to give this lot a try ..........

http://www.plusibe.com/BlueAndWhite/FlightSearch.aspx

One of the few places that offer a secure online payment facility and issue e-tickets.

Have had a quick look at the above but totally unimpressed with it. I was inserting dates for a return visit to the UK towards the end of May and returning end of June (flying Business Class). It kept coming back with a message saying "Eror 111 - Departure flight not found" I know for a fact that flights are available on the dates in question. A pity as some of the prices quoted are very good

You can try Thaifly.com, the big travel sites like Expedia (tedious trying to burrow down to the real prices instead of the ones for idiots on top) or the airlines themselves.

In my experience, travel agents are still generally superior to online for round trips out of Thailand.

I tried Thaifly, but they are obvioussly incapable of giving flight details even 6 monhs ahead. I get a price offered but then find no seats available. WTF? Why show the price in that case?

The travel agent I use opposite Soi 7 came up with a Business Class return to Glasgow with Emirates for 104,400 baht, which is about 3,000 baht or so cheaper than the best I've been able to find for sure so far.

Glasgow's the wrong side of the country for me, but the saving makes the extra hassle worthwhile. It means that I will have to leave where I'm staying in Fife at about 8.30 or so to allow plenty of time to be driven to Kirkcaldy and to buy a train ticket. Then a train to Edinburgh, another to Glasgow, change stations in Glasgow and another train to Paisley. From there it is a short journey by taxi to the airport.

I had no problem at all ..................... and got a price of 101,000 Baht. :clap2 I would think that perhaps you were inserting the airport codes wrongly or something. :clueless

That said, I have just booked biz class to MAN with Qatar (through their website) to nip home this weekend for the Italy game. Cost incl taxes came out at 82,000 Baht.

last year i bought 4 rt tickets on china air

flew USA to BKK on Thai air

flew Bkk to USA then back to BKK on the 4 rt China air tickets

flew BKK to USA on last leg before Thai ticket expired

i paid about 500usd for the tickets

saved money, would do again IF my travel dates are flexible

i usually fly TG ( ThaiAir ) because i can change tickets easy by

walking into the office in Pattaya or Bkk, and have even had good luck on phone

i would never make a big credit card purchase online in LOS like with on line retailer
