:banghead

I usually stay Soi 2/3 area-I know the place from the front bar area in the pics-good location and the rooms look really nice for the price-the monthly rate is very attractive.

No pool but you could walk round to Sabai Lodge and use their pool.

I have been staying at BJ Lodge in same soi but that is blighted by construction next door at the moment.

Will certainly look at Seaside guest house on my next trip-wonder how many rooms it has and what the difference is between standard and superior.

very girl(s) friendly ! its a real nice place ; i stayed there on my last two trips ; nice rooms, with a big bed, and fridge + tv ; wifi available ; main entrance on soi 3, but on daytime, u can use the backdoor to soi 2 ; tourist agency (just opened in january) near the reception desk ; payment only in cash (no credit card) ; laundry with good service next door ; 3 minutes from Big C and soi 2 bars and massages ; 30 seconds from Welkomm Inn ; i recommand that place !

From the comments guys have made and pictures on the website this looks like good value for the money. I plan on checking it out as I like soi 2-3.

The hotel is owned by the son and daughter-in-law (Chris and Supaporn) of the guy behind the Sabai Group. The same couple manage the Sabai Inn and Kumm Punn pub next door.

I was shown around this place by a Mamasan friend of mine who knows the owner, just after it opened about 12-18 months ago. We went there for a drink as she wanted to wish her friend good luck (on my money 2guns ).

I thought the rooms were small and cramped (they’ve done wonders with the photos) no balcony for that “extra space” except for the large room but I believe they only have one or two of those. Bathroom rates “adequate” at best. The stairs were narrow and steep and would not be good if your pissed up or “don’t get around as well as you once did”.

But I suppose “the price is right” but it would not be on my list of places to stay.

The bar was ok and the girls friendly couple of good lookers but as we know bar staff changes quickly in Pattaya.

No axe to grind against the place been in on subsequent visits for a drink just thought I would let you know my thoughts.

I was quite embarrassed when after the “grand tour” I had to lie to the lady owner about how wonderful her place was. :D

no, there is no in-room safe ; the safes are behind the reception desk and can be opened 24h/24 (one key for u and one master-key at the desk)

How big are they? I like an in-room safe to put my small laptop while I'm out. Are these safes behind reception of safety-deposit boxes?

these safes are behind the reception desk ; i think u can put ur small laptop inside ; i stayed at Seaside GH many times, and last time was september ; i never ever had a problem with the safe ; when i was there last time, they were building a new room ; it will be a very big room behind the recption area ; the price will be 900 baht for low season, and 1200 baht for high season ; i already booked that very big room for Happy New Year period.

From what I recall there are two lockable drawers (one inside the wardrobe) with keys which can take a decent sized laptop.

Was in it last week after Tom recommended it. Didnt think the rooms were small. I had just asked to book it for a month, when I read a notice on the desk saying there was construction every day from 10am to 7pm. That was why I was leaving the previous place  Good of them to warn customers. Some places wouldnt. I thought it had a nice feel in the bar and the room was obviously pretty new. Will consider it for next trip.

the "construction every day from 10am to 7pm" => it was the construction of the new big room behind the reception desk ; and the construction also of a bigger office ; i was staying at room 102 at that time, and it did not bother me.

I take it from the above you have a hard time reading and understanding written English. :D I do know a quality guest house on 2nd Road just past Soi 6 that may fit your needs. Clean, in room safe with free WI-FI. PM me if interested.

If you do you won't need a flash it's so well lit. BTW the lights are not new.
