It is reported in the Evening Standard that there are plans for a future charge to cars entering LHR central area to drop off passengers of £20, plus £20 per day parking. If people stop driving in to drop off, how will public transport cope ? The bus station is already one of the busiest in the country.

On top of this, a congestion charge of £3 for lorries using roads around the airport, including the M4

This to pay for a 6th terminal and 3rd runway.

Landing charges are to increase by 20% over the next few years. LHR is already one of if not the most expensive airports to operate in.

Let's think about this, the BAA is now Spanish owned and Spain's national carrier Iberia has gone broke. Is there a connection ?

It don't look good for B.A.'s business. :drunk

i dread to think what it will be like in 20 years and the costs involved in relation to earnings.

there are going to be a lot of losers......time to plan a move....but to where.

i wouldn't enjoy thailand on my uk budget.......unless very happily married out in the sticks.but why come here if not to monger(which costs a lot).

even if you wanted a hooker in uk,there are none under £90 for 20 mins in my city and they are moo ton.

My you are full of contradictions. Happily married, would mean that and mongering would be limited. Trust me, as you age and live here longer the girlie scene becomes less and less of your life.
