Have stayed @ Apex several times in past years. Satisfied with location, rooms, buffets, & prices.

Not at all satisfied with attitude of staffs. Front desk girls during dayshift have the "I am doing you a favor attitude". One time I asked one if I could use the stapler for a moment. She picked it up from the desk & slammed it down on the counter so hard that it bounced.

Everyone expects tips there--especially the maids. They get downright abusive each day that you do not tip.

Anyway, these observations date back to the September when they had the military coup then opened Suvarnabhumi. Can anyone who has stayed there more recently comment as to whether the staffs' attitudes remain the same or have improved?

THANX MUCH!

What do you expect for 500 bht a day,THE RITZ? :allright :cry2 :moon

Decent "tude" from the staff is expected. No matter what the cost of the room. :bow

For 500 bht a night you get what you pay for,and nothing more! Many staff of far higher priced Hotels also have this same attitude, and in many cases it is due to the constant often undeserved remarks made to them by us mongers!

Personally I couldn't care less,if there pleasant then so am I,if not simply ignore them,so easy really! :hijack: :gulp

I think the rooms at APEX is pretty worn out.

As for the service, I have never had a problem at that hotel.

Some of the girls that work in the buffet-restaurant there is real hot.

Be careful of the Buffet being served there. I saw a small roach racing around inside the big pot of steam rice last week.

I stayed there during Loy Krathong and they have made some improvements. The TVs have been upgraded as well as their aircons. No longer the noisy antiques they had!

The plumbing is also better ; no longer multiple flushes!

Still great value in a great location for a very average hotel
