Was due to drive to the darkside for a sunday roast with my gf and stepson, but the battery on car was flat.We decided to take the motorbike and have the sunday roast at Canterbury Tales oc soi chayapoon.I ordered to roast beef( 250 baht each) and a spaghetti bolognase for my step son.

only 1 roast beef,so my gf ordered pork, she come back,no hab,so she ordered a full breakfast 100 baht.

the roast beef came with salad on and 3 cold pea pods,1 little cold cauli flower stem and gravy that was that thick it wouldnt come out of the dish. The spaghetti was crap,my sons words, and the brekkie was swimming in fat.A word of warning lads and lasses,DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR SUNDAY ROAST ITS BLOODY AWFUL.I told the service lady it was mai aroi and she looked at me with disgust and walked away.

btw

the bottle of tiger was not cold enough.

If I'm paying with your money, no problem. If I'm paying with mine, I expect good quality.

The best sunday roast IMHO is the carvery at Robins Nest on Soi Diana.Beef, chicken and pork and help yourself to all the veggies etc.Not the cheapest tho.

If you want cheap try Seaside a little further up Chayapoon but on the same side as Canterbury tales.Very basic lil place but good food at very cheap prices.

Why didn't you call over the manager and make a compliant right then and there? I've sent back food that wasn't edible and had them replace it. BTW I'm not referring to this restaurant. The only restaurant where I had a problem was at Gregg's Kitchen where Gregg the owner went mental when I complained.

It was pointless complaining as the service lady growled when i said mai aroi and to complain about all 3 meals sounded realy bad.Just wont go again and will tell all my mates the same too.

Also,to allow that type of shit food to come out of the kitchen suggested to me that the owner was not there or didnt care about his quality.I find it incredible that the chef thinks this was good food too.

I ordered a pizza and it was terrible. Undercooked, lame sauce and the cheese was indescribable. He wasn't there that night so when I saw him at Sky-Top, I talked to him privately about it. At this time I had no problem with him and he told me he'd personally cook me a replacement pizza. When I saw him at the restaurant the next day, I asked him if the pizza would be free since I already paid for one. At this point he got very nasty and threatened to hit me. I said if I offended him, I'd apologize but he just got angrier. I backed off and walked away.

I'm getting worried about myself, D. For once I agree with you. I attempted to dine at Greg's Kitchen some 3-4 years ago with a mutual acquaintance of ours. Made the mistake of ordering fish and chips. Was served one of the worst examples of the dish I've ever encountered. Rejected the "meal". By the time I had gone through all the channels and Greg finally arrived at the table our acquaintance, who had wisely ordered something more foolproof, had finishedf his meal. Out of consideration for him, I declined Greg's offer of an alternative dish. Was still billed for the "fish and chips" regardless. Never been back.

Cant understand some bars and restaraunts,as this is the low season and they have plenty of time to retrain staff and find ways of getting a captive audience ready for the high season,if we ever get a high season again.low season breeds very lazy thais and i still cannot understand why.

So is mr gregg on the banned list also,as i wouldnt go to a place where a thug owns the place,it will be machettes at 9 paces.

As with many things that go on in Pattaya it's up to you to try out Gregg's Kitchen. The foods OK but way over priced for what you get.

Dont know about the sunday roast but breakfast very very good

The Queen vic on soi 6 has a great roast dinner ,but its not cheap for thia standand.

i think its a matter of whos working at the time, ive eaten breakfast there and its been awfull, anotherbm shows a pic of the breakfast very good, unfortunatley the staff wont give a shit about if you like it or not, thats thai staff, i like nickys because she is always around and in the kitchen looking at whats going on , she often comes over to sever you herself and asks you if you have anything you like to be cooked a certain way, also the sunday roast is avaliable small, medium and large, and she has the best roast lamb and real mint sauce in pattaya

You could well be right bigmick, but there has to be certain standards to acheive or how else can you be successful. No good blaming thais all the time as they are brilliant copiers so get them to copy a good sunday roast or at least tell them what a sunday roast looks and tastes like, cos the one i had didnt even resemble a roast.so who is training them, beggars belief and still no owner coming on and discussing this pathetic excuse for a 250 baht roast.i would have still been pissed off if it was 20baht,thats how bad it was.
