Hi Guys

Am arriving soon for a 26 day stay and am "Armed" with certicates for 2x1 days free stay (except for vat & service charge) at one of the following 3 hotels in Pattaya thanks to TG's Rewards program!

1/Mercure

2/ Sheraton

3/ Dusit

Am trying to decide which 1 or 2 to stay at and ask for advice as to value, joiner fees, etc although certificate clearly points out that the booking is for 2 people.

My 4th choice is the Dusit on Koh Chang which I am also considering!

Any advice appreciated as I can leave the reservation until I arrive as requirement is for only 7 days advance booking!

Thanks Steve

I haven't stayed there but from what I was told the Sheraton is guest friendly and fairly new.

It's a bit out of the way and has lots of mosquitos. As for guest friendly, I don't know.

The other choices are at least close in.

Officially Sheraton is NGA, no guest allowed, so certainly not guest friendly, but is about 15-20 minutes to walking street with the new way trough new pier. If you like quality and girl frindly, Marriott is the best choice.

I agree with the "Marriott" however unfortunately not available on Thai Airs reward program!

Never stayed at any but I just checked out there websites and if you were going to Koh Chang any way I would use it there, other wise Dusit in Pattaya.

Thanks "Hybrid" and all the other guys advice! Just BTW did you inform TG of their refusal to accept these certificates?

PS How much in "Taxes" did you pay for 3 nights?

WELL ! :party Don't know what happened to the beginning of my post :clap1 so will start again

I have also applied for a tg voucher for 2 nights accomodation. I will probably stay at Mercure that is if they will accept my voucher !

Is B/f included ( covered by the voucher) or is that classed as extra's?? therefore I will be billed for it?/

The Sheraton is a gorgeous hotel with fantastic pools. I posted pics here:

There Mercure is joke compared to this hotel.

For mongering purposes, the location is only convenient for Walking Street. So depending where you like to hang out and look for girls, this might not be acceptable.

Be mindful of Dusit hotel as they charge a ridiculous amount for a joiner fee unless you register with 1 girl. Last I have been told the joiner fee was close to 1000 baht. This is more of a family hotel that is why they frown on having multiple partners. Sheraton is 5 star quality but mixed information on joiner fees. Some have had to pay others not. Mercure likewise has mixed reviews on joiner fees. I would choose Sheraton for free rooms if you can get away with joiner fees. Mercure would be close 2nd and hopefully no joiner fee either.
