Slightly OT-Any recommendations for a hotel in Phnom Penh

Last entry was 3+ years ago but I did book from it.Any more recent suggestions?

Am booked at Flamingos Hotel for $35 per nite.

Sorry for the slow response, I obviously haven't had a look over this section of late.

 

Anyway, a great guesthouse/bar was recommended by a bm here in his trip report.

The bar part of the business is called "The pickled parrot". Good food, bar and accomodation.

 

It is on street 104 just off the river front and has many interesting bars in its vacinity.

I recommend the Anise. They have a website, excellent room, safe, internet, bar, food, breakfast, bunch of bars in the area. The BEST and I mean BEST real Thai massage I've ever had 100 meters away.

 

All in all good place. I had the King size bed 3rd floor balcony option.

I stayed at Flamingos back in February. The hotel was fine despite the fact that I managed to cock up my dates. (my fault, which necessitated a change of room after 2 nights). They will pick you up from the airport. Fortunately, someone else on my flight was staying there so despite the cock up with the dates I got to the hotel without any problems.

 

I got a Vietnamese freelancer from the Walkabout Bar - turn left when you exit the hotel and turn left again on to Street 51.
