yes there is terrorism prob in North province in terrorism.but souther in parts(Southern) no violence had been reported to single tourist in past 5 years.

Place looks great but the threat of terrorism is a worry,

 

I guess every country has its terrorists so nowhere are you safe,

even in thailand.

The last plot I remember that was busted was the Fort Dix attack last year but maybe there have been others I forgot or which haven't been announced. There's more than I want for sure.

Hmm, I thought there was an air attack on a power station Oct 28th, 2008. This is barely 2 weeks ago, near Colombo, Also bombs killed 16 about a year ago again in the capital.

 

If the Government clears up the problem I would love to return to your country......had a great holiday there many years ago.
