The Holiday Inn in San Jose, Costa Rica is not guest friendly...

I disagree.I have stayed there several times when I had a business in CR.I visited CR probably 18-20 times over a 5 year period, but my last visit was in '05.Maybe you should have tried the Del Rey instead.

Open soon, the owner of the Holiday Inn Pattaya is the Erawan group, like the Erawan hotel in south Pattaya, formerly Baiyoke, 300 bahts for joiner in Erawan and certainly more in Holiday Inn.

Last year I inquired at the front desk. Was told there was a $40 'guest fee'. From my perspective that is not 'guest friendly'.
