Loook out another one who uses the word, yes I was with a whore, but dont think for a minute that badgering me on every post about my opinions will change them, if you or anyone has problems with them then line up to sort them out face to face, and even then I will not conform to what you want due to pressure of any kind, you get it, I am my own person.

 

But this is an interesting example of another forum tactic for those of us who like to understand human nature and the methods others use in their attempts to exert control over us. Its kinda like nagging that women use in this case. But it changes nothing about the fact these girls are whores.

You are right in so far as I had never heard of a Slider prior to Mikey ( an American Chef and board member here) suggesting we add them to the menu. He also taught our cooking staff how to make them.

 

I have never had one anywhere else or even heard of them before although I must say I quite like what we make and eat them often.

 

I take it from your comment that they do not meet your definition of a Slider. Can you explain what the problem or difference is.

 

 

Pete, if you ever come to the US I would love to give you a tour of the strange American mindset.

 

The reason I ordered "sliders" was I figured that the only way you would be able to support them would be to buy them in a box already made and just nuke them in a microwave. Which was just fine with me when the kitchen was backed up on New Years eve.

 

There are two companies that make "Sliders" in the US. They are "White Castle" and "Krystals".

 

These are very small hamburgers in which the meat in them is less than a 8th of an inch thick. The reason they are called "sliders" is the idea that you can suck one down your throat without even bothering to chew it. The thin slice of beef really just gives flavor to the bread.

 

Because they are so thin its very common for guys to order a bag of 10 of them to go.

 

When the burgers arrived I felt sorry for the cooks who had sweated over trying to make minature thick burgers for the crazy falang.

 

The burgers were good, just more food than I expected and not what I had expected.

 

Here is an image of a White Castle from their website. Notice that the meat is no thicker than the slice of pickle.
