Although I have been to Patts many times, apart from the odd visit to the Buffalo Bar on Third Road, I have visited no other bars in that area. I understand it is a part of Pattaya that is frequented by many ex pats and therefore I would expect them to have targetted and identified a few good bars in that area. So can any boardies who are familiar with the Third Road scene recommend any bars in that area that are worth visiting?

Thanks.

For conviviality only (no girls) you could try Harry's Bar, between The Castle and Darling Bar and near Buffalo Bar.

A small bar frequented by mainly Brits and Aussies.

Harry has been around the block a few times and is always good for a yarn.

I myself dont really know 3rd rd ,but last trip after checking out Tonies Gym Noticed a sports bar.

Its the Boxing Roo Bar owned by 2 Aussies, met one of them Greg from Newcastle. He was a very friendley guy and knows heaps re area. Its a very large open air bar with all sports you could want to watch (Had Wallabies Vs Sprinboks when i was there but we shant discuss that game :banghead ).And yes there was a large number of very friendley non hasle girls there.I certainly will be going back next trip for sure.I dont know exact address but I walked straight up soi from LK Metro to 3rd rd Gym is accross rd and Roo Bar to left about 50m to 70m.IMHO well worth a try

I have a lack of knowledge of 3rd road as well. I have been to Buffalo Bar only once and that was on a bar crawl.

When I lived in Pattaya and 3rd road was just a dirt trail that eventually became a dead end, I used to visit "Jeep's Joint" which was located near the intersection with South Pattaya Road. Unfortunately Jeep closed his bar, he was a great guy to sit and drink with.

I should check it out again next trip.

Have to agree about Harrys bar. I had a very enjoyable couple of beers chatting to him when I was getting fucked about buying T shirts and needed a drink. It was early afternoon so I had no idea if BGs turned up later.
