Depends when she wants to fly. Qatar, Etihad and Emirates have fares under 30k at least until the end of June.

At the moment, it's more expensive for economy seats ex BKK, but cheaper for biz class seats.

The other alternative is on Air Asia via KL to Stansted.

you can get cheap flight but the tax is around 11,500 baht as i was in pattaya last week and looked for a friend to fly to the uk and the flight ticket was 16,500 plus 11,500 airport tax which comes to 28,000 thousand

Who is offering a good price on Biz Class Ex Bangkok Tom? I have been looking for a fare and can't do better than Qatar at about 84,000 baht. Heading to Manchester (September) and usual restrictions, only 1 connection, less than 3 hours, not via Heathrow. Edited by jacko

jacko,

Qatar are under 72k Baht until the end of June ....... or 1,300 quid at 55 THB/GBP. They haven't set up their offers beyond the end of June but they will do eventually. I'm in the same boat as you ....... I want to go back to MAN in Sep/Oct using Qatar before they drop the route completely. I'll drop you a PM when I hear that Sep/Oct offers have been loaded to the system.

You don't know anyone who has 50k miles they want to get rid of, do you?

I also have a XL seat booked with Air Asia in Oct but I want to change the date on that ticket once they come up with dates/prices for the flatbeds they are putting in next year.

Thanks Tom, I'll hang on for the PM as I don't see any other airline beating Qatar for me. Perhaps we could book a 'companion ticket' :allright

No, I only have a few thousand KLM miles left after my last award ticket.

It strikes me as amazing that the European carriers can offer some good Biz Class bargains ex Europe (eg the KLM/AF have their holiday fares about £1750), but they all ignore people booking from this end, it's 134,000 baht????
