Hi All...looking at doing a sidetrip to Ko Samui..nxt trip at end of August......interested in any hotel suggestions in Chaweng Bch....around 1000 baht

 

When in Pattaya i stay at J P Court....Opey de Place......Sunview.....so something similiar is what I m after in KS...I like having a pool and tiled floors...and clean.

 

Appreciate any suggestions....THKS

A pool might be a stretch at 1000 baht. Plenty of choices in that price range though. Can't help you out with the pool

The name of the town in Burma is Mandalay. It's also the name of about 10,000 knock-ons such as the Samui Mandalay.

 

Someone posted a while ago about the horrible spelling in this forum and, by extension, the world. I don't think you have to spell every word in a post correctly. Typos happen. But I think you have to spell names right.

The trouble with Samui when you want to go is that it's in "The school holidays" and a lot of hotels regard this as high season.

 

Last time I went I just turned up at first house and bargained them down to 800bt.

Try Baan Suan Sook resort. In Chaweng but not on the beach. Has a nice infinity pool with bar and very guest friendly. Has a website as well. Stayed many times and found very agreeable. Have fun in Samui.

There weekly and monthly rates are good value,if your going with a mate the rates are even better as they are all 2 bedroom.

Have a look at www.samui-hotels.com The site has links to the hotels and also the phone numbers of the hotels. What i have done in the past is when i want a break from pattaya i have a list of hotels and phone numbers and just call and see what deals they are offering and some will also pick you up from the airport.

Lamai Perfect in Lamai, excellent, new, pool and under 1K baht. Chaweng's a crap place IMO.
