Google Crome-anyone else use it?

Recommended Posts

I've been using it for a few weeks now-it's a search engine BTW. I find it good. I like the fact that the address bar is also a search bar, and I like the way it saves history and bookmarks etc, and generally, I like the whole thing. Anyone else use it and have thoughts or tips?

I use it when I do not need any options or features... because chrome has almost none of those lol.

It also does not work on all websites... but is ok for most.

I use it, but not all the time. One thing I have noticed is that I cannot use a spellcheck on certain forums when I log in through Chrome. However it is faster than IE for sure.

Surely, it is a web browser like Internet Explorer, not a search engine.

I have tried it. However, I normally use Firefox with adblocker. When I used chrome I could suddenly see millions of adverts all over the place that I hadn't seen for years. Chrome wont block adverts because that is how google make their money.

Apart from that it looked ok and worked ok. In fact it is suggested the next release of Firefox may copy the look of chrome with tabs on top.

Firefox 4

Personally, I think the flexibility of Firefox with all the available add ons make it the number one browser to use. And the firefox developers are just trying to make the best possible browser rather than having some other agenda or strategy motivating them. I will be sticking with it.

Sorry mate, you are right, I had a mind blank and said search engine! My crome blocks everything, but maybe I don't go where you go, I don't know.

Probably the fastest browser, the problem being there are no features like ad-blocking. It works as advertised, and I use it every day. If you only want to read websites, it's right up there with the best.
