Opinions on Three Specific Hotels

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately Areca is booked up which I am gutted about because we had a good time

there and my young daughter enjoyed it.

The only other hotel I have stayed in is the Montien but this is too dear.

I have found availabilty for three which are all near Central Pattaya so not too far to walk

to the Malls etc.

Grand Sole

Chaba Hut

Sawasdee Siam

All prices around 22,000 Baht for the period I need

Any opinions on these, they seem ok in terms of pool and we would opt for a De-luxe in the Sole and Siam

and Pink Studio in Chaba.

Will probably need to confirm pretty soon with Xmas coming up

I appreciate any comments

Hi

I've stayed at all three in the past; Grand Sole is probably the pick of the three but none of them are brilliant. Chaba used to be my first choice until about three years ago. Unfortunately it suffered the usual problem with hotels in Thailand, which is that as things broke they didn't get fixed. In the end I gave up on it.

I think you could probably do better that these. It might be worth while posting what your requirements and budget are so that members on here can suggest alternatives. Otherwise, I suggest you book the Grand Sole for a couple of nights and, if you don't like it, you can look for alternatives.

Cheers

there is some good deals around at the moment , Hotels normally in the 2000baht price range are at 1000-1250 , I checked out Sabai Empress on second road yesterday ,very impressive rooms , the hotel is about 5 months old so everything is modern, however it has no balcony so my freind didnt want to stay there.

At the Sabai Lodge the more expensive wings like Sabai Wing, Ruen Thuen Deluxe rooms all normally 1800-2250 , Sabai has a sale on the moment and all the rooms are about 40% off the intenret or normall rates, so the rooms are costing 1200 a night.

The OP refers to Areca being sold out so I am guessing he is looking for a room in high season. I will be surprised if those Sabai deals carry through into high season (and rather annoyed if they do as it means I will be paying too much!!).

Sorry my fault I am looking at Peak Season

17th Dec - 31st Dec Leaving before new year to miss gala dinner.

Out of all the Hotels Grand Sole is the only one I can recall from previous visits due to its location near Tops and the

Montien.

GranSole looks the front runner, will wait for other opinions. Thanks to those who repsonded
