This is not the same idea, though. It's more a collection of the "best" apps, where Download, TuCows and many others keep updating and keep adding new stuff, too. One's not really a competition for the other.

yes, it's just another free software compilation place. The OP is one that has comments about their performance or a "best of" sort of list. CNet or TuCows also have User Ratings

 

I was digging around for 64-bit apps & it's not too easy to find them

still haven't found a true 64-bit anti-virus out there
