My daughter wants to go to the Nam this june ( needs 4 tickets ) Departing from Atlanta.... the cheapest tickets they can get ( after looking at some big ticket sites) are $2000.00 per..... they have to wait until June as the kids get out of school 1st week of June.... But you have to be creative when doing your tickets.

Here is an example..

Using Airtran from Atlanta to LAX total cost is $279 roundtrip

then EVAAIR departing LAX to Ho Chi Mhin City $1140.

Total Cost--$1419 this is taxes included....

www.airtran.com www.evaair.com

also check out China Air at their website. They were $1422 for LAX-SGN

Think about driving them to an airport that is serviced by Southwest or Jetblue or other low cost aircarries and such.

The air tran and Eva work out pretty good time wise except for the return trip. Where they get into LAX at 1530 and AirTRan next flight is 1130pm that nite. Dates were Departing ATL on May31 in evening and returning on June 15

Look at departing San Francisco and Seattle. All 3 of those cities are the main hubs for Asia travel.

Also look at Korean, Japan, Thai, Air Nippon etc for specials that might be going on....Try flying into Bangkok and then connecting with a low cost airline to vietnam from there. You have to do lots of scenarios to get the best possible price.....

These are the airlines that fly out of Atlanta. http://www.atlanta-airport.com/Passenger/Airlines/

www.Kayak.com came back with $1580 Rt If they can be flexible on dates by a few days play with those dates as well..... Use Kayak to see what other airlines fly there and then go direct to the airline websites.

In other words find the cheapest flight from ATL or close by airport to LAX,SFO,SEA

Most likely your cheapest airlines will be EVA, China, and Korea
