Whackydre,

I have stayed at the Pasadena Lodge. The rooms are small but nice. The hot water control of the shower was a pain in the ass (literally)

On my next trip I am staying at the Irish Rovers.

Having taken many a motorbike taxi ride past Pattaya Bay Resort I will say it is out of the way on a long side soi between Soi Diana and Second Road. It is not a short walk to anywhere!

I swear by LK Metro though.

They have STD rooms at PBR?It's called the Papillon Suite, isn't it?You may want to think twice!

PBR is my 1st choice in Patts.I'll be there for 1 or 2 months in Aug-Sep.

Soi Diana intersects with second round how can it be in between? :D

PBR looks a good deal for less than a 1000 baht a night plus two nights free. Never stayed there myself but heard great reviews.

I too swear by LK Metro by the way. Lots of great bars and places to eat plus cheap but good accommodation.

Soi 2 is not sleazy. Sabai Lodge is not sleazy. They have an awesome large pool and several smaller pools, I believe. It's girl friendly and right on the baht bus route. A fairly laid back place. For the right price, I'd stay there again anytime. In the year 2002, I paid 800 for a room by the large pool, on the second floor. In 2006, over Christmas, I was forced to pay 1800 a night. Today, I'd stay there, but only if the price was less than 1000 baht. Otherwise, I'd stay on Soi LK Metro.

Cheers for the info Chaps!

Has anyone stayed at Chaba Hut Resort STD room?

As the pictures shown on the resort look very nice for the price, and it seems to be in a good location i think?

My problem with BJ's was they charge 5% if you pay by card,so ask about this if you try there.

I liked Pasadena when I stayed there. How are you getting a free night? I haven't seen anything about that on their website.
