Los Angeles to Manila, Philippines from US$863 +tax

*Travel Dates start: August 26 - November 18, 2010

 

Terms and conditions:

1. Taxes are not included and must be added at the time of purchase.

2. Above roundtrip weekday fares include fuel/insurance surcharge.

3. Stopover enourte: Not permitted.

Weekend (Fri-Sun) surcharge applies.

 

4. Ticket Validity: Three months.

 

5. Please refer to "Fare Rule" for all terms and condition details.

6. Child (2-11) discount: 75% of adult fares and must be

accompanied by adults

7. Due to aircraft operation, China Airlines provides service on LAX-TPE v.v.

with Boeing 747-400 alternatively in configuration of 12 First class seats,

49 Business class seats, 314 Economy class seats, or 14 First class,

64 Business class and 319 Economy class seats

 

8.The above economy fares are sold through China airlines' website

and subject to space availability and change without prior notice.

I wonder how much a person would actually save, going through all that?

 

I was looking at tickets yesterday, to BKK from the midwest USA. $1200. If I wanted to leave from LAX, I'd have to spend $300 RT, just to get there. I also priced tickets to Australia, just for the heck of it. Interestingly, not much more than to go to BKK.
