Just read this bit of news in today's West Australia. Thought it might interest a few golfers up there.

"Tiger Woods will play in a one-day skins tournament in Thailand next month.

Organisers announced on Thursday that Woods will return to his mother's home country for the first time in 10 years to compete in an event that was part of celebrations to mark King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 60th year on the Thai throne.

The skins tournament will be played on November 8 at the Amata Spring Country Club in Chonburi, a seaside province southeast of Bangkok.

England's Paul Casey, Colombia's Camilo Villegas and Thailand's top player Thongchai Jaidee are also competing in the event.

The event will be held the day after the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai."

That's great news.

I will get in touch with his agent to see if he can play in the RideHer Cup on 3rd November!

Anyone fancy going to watch this event?

Anyone figure out that the King has been on the throne 64 years?

The full announcement is on Amata Spring's website, here. It's also wrong about the 60th year. The 60th anniversary of the King's accession to the throne was 2006. This is the 60th anniversary of his coronation, four years after he became King.
