i paid $1750aud return australia-bangkok, i left it late to book my flights so i expected to pay more.

return flights to bkk from aus can be bought from $700aud and sometimes lower at certain times

 

oh and my 1750 also included travel insurance too

The price will depend when you are flying, whether its a direct flight, and who you are flying with.

 

Your price probably reflects that although you are travelling in high season you are flying out relatively early. The price increases significantly the nearer you get to Christmas and New Year. This year I paid £776 with Qatar to fly out from Manchester on 21 December, returning 5 Jan, however there is an 8 hour layover in Doha. I would have preferred to go with Emirates but they were charging over £1200 for the same dates.

 

I'd be surprised if anyone is offering £500 flights over the Christmas period but am sure that price level is available for less popular periods going into March.

Same here.....Looked for anything in December and they were all over $2k. I have to buy seats for four and can't justify paying that kind of money for a two week vacation. I am now looking at April, best so far is $900....still not going! Guys on here go on and on about paying 1k baht for pussy but never factor in the cost of the trip overall!
