I thought poggle, one nut pete, microman and any of his many names on here and other forums made everyone cringe not laugh at the poor misguided egotistical fool :whistling:

Hey, I couldn't help it. The one line quip just struck me as funny. I do think you're on the right track with the rest of your comment though.

There is good advice above but I would like to add a little of my own advice having been diagnosed with type two over 10 years ago.

Firstly, there is a shock when first being diagnosed but once you adjust your diet, exercise, weight ect you should stabilise and will learn to recognise when your sugars are low. You will need time to do this and it is better done in the proximity oof your medical team

Once you have stabilised you will be able to visit Pattaya many more times and start to enjoy life to the full again. Everything is allowed IN MODERATION.

Please be careful that any changes to your regime are monitored, and if for example you drink more because you are on holiday make sure that you have a fully briefed companion with you.

Life can be pretty good, and I saw my NHS free Levitra in Boots Pattaya for 1,960 Baht, so you can even make savings.

Good Luck.

I have just been diagnose with diabetes .and it has effected my eyes .That would be game over if I go out in that traffic, I would like to go to Pattaya one last time .Would anyone know a hotel that I could get meals for diabetise and is girl friendly for less then 1000 baht. I won't be able to go out anybody know hotel where the guy can just stay in the hotel .and get someone to bring the Bgs in.Thanks a head of time. :hairout

Hi what kind of diabetes do you suffer from?Type 1 or 2.are you insulin dependant ?have you other problems?the answer to these questions is important as many people, including myself, have diabetes and live in most cases normal lives and in some cases ,like Sir Steve Redgrave, incredibly active lives.Diabetes should not stop you from coming to Pattaya and should not stop you enjoying lidfe to the full.If on the other hand you have other problems let us know if you want real advice on a Pattaya holiday.I only know of one eye problem with Diabetes and that is Glaucoma, but I thought that it could be treated quite easily.

Try diabetic retinopathy. If you are diabetic and haven't heard of this I would get yourself to an optician/optometrist pdq because that is what destroys your eyesight. It too can be treated if you get it on time. Martin, if you are going to delete anything, let this post stand for the sake of this bm's health.

This might well be a symptom of diabetes but it is not one I had heard of,but dont worry about my health as I get 2 eye exams every year to 18 months. The reason I asked my questions, which still havn't been answered,is that I was diagnosed Diabetic (type2)almost 10 years ago and I have no real problems going to Pattaya.I was wondering why it should be so hard for someone not long diagnosed.
