Hi Steve.

Ya, I have arrived at the Maxx.

The room for the price is good, certainly better than the R-Con.

The downside is it is quite a walk to baht bus, not a problem if you are into walking in Thai weather.

You have to remember it is a condo, not a hotel, so not even bog paper in room.

If I have missed owt out, just post I will give you the good oil.

Thats great news, the distance from key areas was never a problem to me,it was just that last time i saw the place it was just a building site with waste lasnd surrounding it.

Are the prices still similar to those advertised on their website?

The prices are the same.

I think a long distance runner could get to Soi Diana in 10 mins, I most certainly couldn't at a walk.

Thanx Cicero,

I have a couple of questions.

1..Is UBC TV available as standard or is there a monthly fee.Its something id like so i keep off the beer the odd night.

2...I have booked my flights, arrive 7th Oct.Depart 3rd of April 2012.Could you inquire about availability and as to what sort of deposit is required.Or get me the name of a contact who speaks good english to contact.

3..What are the general facilities like, especially the pool and soround.

As ive said before its location isnt a problem for me,but would you stay there again.

If you could help with these questions id be very grateful.

Thanx mate,have a fabulous holiday.

Right Steve, from the horse's mouth.

You can have a room, but would need a deposit of 5000 baht, high season and all that.

The rooms at present have 60 channels, UBC is available for 1500 baht a month.

Pool is a narrow one, but adequate for a dip, or at least for me, I have yet to see anybody in it.

What was the breakfast area is now a bar with girls for sale.

The room is as good as it gets for the money.

The pool surround is just a few chairs, which is ok for me.

The man to talk to is at....

ralph@maxxasia.com

although out of it a bit, all facilities at door, shop for water and odd bobs and a motorbike taxi at the door.

Bit noisy, but have yet to find othewise in Pattaya.

Is the noise from the street etc. or from thin walls lol.

Shame we wont be meeting up there so i could buy you a few beers for your time.

Take care and thanx again.

hi Steve , thought i might add my own experiance with you ( only just come across your post today )

i stayed at Maxx Central for 3 weeks in april and for the money you pay you wont find a better room anywhere in Pattaya.

The staff are all friendly and do a good job . took 3 cleaners half hour to clean my room every day... they really do clean everything.

The shop next door sell everything you will need at thai prices... a lot cheaper than 7/11s you find closer to the beach ( bottle of coke 10b )

It is a fair walk to soi 7/8 but i usually use a m/bike taxi at night just for the convenience.

Im booked back in at xmas so might be able to catch up with you then.

hope this helps
