Hotel in Soi 7/8

I am looking for a hotel in the Soi 7/8 area as I want to enjoy the beer bars rather than my usual Walking Street haunts.

 

Requirements are free wifi and safety box in room, balcony, girl friendly, large clean room with big bed! I am willing to spend up to 2500 Baht per night.

 

Anyone got a recommendation please?

You will get the Eastiny Plaza and the Seven for a lot cheaper than 2500, the Plaza is the newer of the 2 and we stayed there 3 nights last year before moving to Soi Diana Inn, not a bad hotel, was clean, decent size bed Wifi and a safe in room, pool is ok also.

 

There is a boutique hotel between 7 and 8 called the Idyll Hotel, think its possibly linked to The Sunbeam, they wanted nearer 3000 for a room, rooms looked really nice but wasnt paying silly money and not sure if it was girl friendly, it if is linked to the Sunbeam there may be a joiners fee.

I am avoiding Soi 8 till the construction is over. I think that the Sunshine has its pool closed and the Sunbeam does charge a 500 b joiner fee. Having said that why not go for a top of the line room at either Flipper House or Lodge? They are where you want to stay and there are I believe some good rooms with sea views etc if you pay a bit more.

I have stayed there, nice hotel, but when I was there in January it was a little noisy due to construction work on the other side of the Soi. Associated to the Sandy Spring and many of the staff are from there or are interchangeable with there, so quality is very good. It is of course girl freindly as are the other hotels in the group.
