  1. This is one of my favourite places to eat. Very good and extensive menu and never had a bad meal there.
  2. Me and a couple of friends will pop along
  3. Had them in the Pig and Whistle in March. Kippers and scrambled eggs.
  4. I am looking for 5th March and cheapest Emirates flight is £597 on Skyscanner
  5. Etihad for me Sam, always got decent prices (under £500) and good flight times without long stopovers, good food and entertainment and birds onboard are fit as fuck.
  6. Its just off second road, virtually opposite Mikes.
  7. LK Rennaissance on Soi Dianna has lifts and jacuzzi bath tubs in their studio rooms, we paid £1400 baht per night last year on a walk in price, hoping for the same deal this year. Have stayed there last 3 years and you cant beat the hotel, IMHO
  8. Me and a few mates will be there for 18th oct for a month so will only catch England winning their semi and the final but will be deffo watching it somewhere in Patts
  9. Last 6 visits I have flew with Etihad from Manchester, last year got flights for £450 and went out mid Oct, booked through Netflights. Will be back mid Oct again this year for 4 weeks, Queen Vic is a good place to stay but too crazy on soi 6 for me to stay my whole visit.
  10. You will get the Eastiny Plaza and the Seven for a lot cheaper than 2500, the Plaza is the newer of the 2 and we stayed there 3 nights last year before moving to Soi Diana Inn, not a bad hotel, was clean, decent size bed Wifi and a safe in room, pool is ok also. There is a boutique hotel between 7 and 8 called the Idyll Hotel, think its possibly linked to The Sunbeam, they wanted nearer 3000 for a room, rooms looked really nice but wasnt paying silly money and not sure if it was girl friendly, it if is linked to the Sunbeam there may be a joiners fee.
  11. Also stayed Eastiny Plaza last year, payed 1400 baht per night for 3 night in Oct, we then got a walk in price in the LK Renaissance of also 1400 baht per night, stayed at the LK for a further 25 nights, the LK IMHO is a much nicer hotel, great staff and a excellent location. Will stay there again.
  12. Thanks for the support guys, looking to book for March next year to ease my pain
  13. Well just home after my 6th trip to Pattaya and i am well and truly depressed. Had a fantastic 4 weeks of fun but then again we always do when we are there. Started our stay in the Eastiny Plaza on Soi 8, stayed for 3 nights, hotel was ok, good pool, great location, not much interaction from the staff for the 3 days we stayed there but am sure if we had of stayed longer they might have come across better. After the 3 days at the Eastiny we got a great walk in deal at the LK Rennaisance on Soi Diana Inn, ending up getting the studio rooms for 1400 Baht a night, IMHO you cant beat this hotel for this price, great rooms, excellent, friendly staff and a great location. Also IMHO Champagne Agogo is the best gogo outside Walking St and is a stones throw from this hotel. Was good to see old friends, Adam from the Cherry was a great host as usual, my good friend Keela from Dream Bar on Soi 8 was also the usual gracious host and looked after us while we drank copious amounts of Sambucca at her bar (including free bar fines from time to time). Was surprised how quiet all the Soi's were compared to walking street, only place seemed to be doing any business was the Silverstar on Soi 7, good selection of women in there, was dissapointed in all the other gogo's around 7&8 especially Sexy Girls, probably my most prolific bar fine establishment in the past but only bar fined once this time around. We did find some diamonds on holiday, had to look hard this year but they are still there, found a few on Soi 3, 1st bar you hit as you are walking towards beach road from 2nd road in the little bar complex, that bar has 3 or 4 8's and 9's, only got to barfine 2 of them as one of my friends had a bit of hassle from one of the ladies and we never returned, was a bit gutted not going back but there is always next year. Bars i loved this year include the Cherry (of course), Champagne, Murphys Law (Steve cracks me up), the Billabong (best Breakfast), Dream Bar, and all the beer bars over the road from the LK Rennaisance on Soi Dianna Inn, had some laughs at them bars and bar fined some great girls. Walking street for me this year was just boss, had a few good nights at FLB, gogo's were just rammed, quality of the girls at some of the gogo's were incredible, ones that stood out to me were Whats Up (that place is just crazy), Peppermint, Silverstar, Misty's and best of all was the Airport, best looking women in any gogo IMHO. We had a little side trip to Koh Change this year, only 3 days but what a great trip, didnt really know what to expect, was thinking it was just a chilled out place with the only thing to do was to sunbath and swim in the sea, 1st night in we walked up the road and found about a dozen little beer bars, had a great couple of nights and barfined a couple of farm fresh cutties one of whome stole my heart and i think she may still have it. Well another year to wait till my next visit to LOS, who knows with the cuts this government are making i might get a redundnacy package and then i will be going there for good.
  14. Yeah i agree with the above post, i took travellers cheques last year and will again in 2 weeks, only hassle was having to take your passport to cash them but exchange booths are everywhere so easy to get your cash then return your passport to safe in loom.
  15. 1500 Baht per night for a Studio Room, rooms were really nice and had the advantage of having a Jacuzzi bath. Dates we were there were from 15th oct - 09th Nov 09 Have tried emailing them a few times to see if they can do the same rate but no response, i have noticed however that Skyscanner is advertising their rooms for £35 per night, Skyscanner is also advertising the LK Royal Suites for £25 a night so may try there.
  16. Stayed in a few in this area, stayed in the Sunbeam, hotel is good but they had a joiner fee which was a pisser, also stayed in the Sunshine, the rooms in the newer wing are much better than the other side of the hotel, stayed Eastiny Seven last couple of years for a few days, hotel is ok but there are better if you are willing to move out that area, staying in the Eastiny Plaza this time around for the first 3 nights then gonna have a walk about and get a walk in price on somewhere better, got a great walk in deal in the rennaisance on Soi Diana last year, if we can get the same rates this year will go for that hotel again.
  17. Got my flights through Netflights with Etihad for October for £455 from Manchester, cheapest i have seen them for a few years, good flight times and connections at Abu Dhabi, I am well pleased with that price.
  18. Stayed LK Renaissance last Oct/Nov, paid 1500 from 15 Oct then 1700 from Nov, excellent hotel, Studio Room with jacuzzi, plently of fun times had in that bath, staff very pleasant, excellent location IMHO, stayed only Soi 8/7 before and love it there but this is my new fave hotel for the location, would stay again without a doubt.
  19. I have emailed the Areca a few times now to see if they have availabilty in Sept/Oct, does anyone know if they are having problems with their website because they are not responding.
  20. Had a great day, had £20 on the winner and took the odds at 16-1, not enough to get me to LOS for a few weeks but a good wedge that will go towards my flight in September
  21. Nil Satis. Great name fella, me and 2 rednoses are going in 2 weeks and are having a 4 weeks stay, we usually stay around the soi 7 or 8 area, last year we stayed in the Eastiny Seven, was a good hotel and is always a good location if you like it loud and the women plentiful. Staying there again in 2 weeks but only for the 1st 4 nights, gonna look for a walk in price on something a bit more upmarket for the other 3 weeks.
  22. Eastiny Seven has safes but only in their superior rooms, stayed there last year and got a Superior for 900 baht a night, this year they want 1100 a night so only booked for 4 nights while we shop around. Thinking LK Renaissance or one of the Sabai's for the longer stay, hoping to get a good walk in deal in either.
  23. Got £371 from Manchester with Etihad on 15th Oct, best price i have seen or paid for a long while.
  24. Does Areca have a joiners fee?
  25. Totally agree with above, stayed 4 weeks at this hotel last October without a problem, all the staff were great, never a problem and location and room costs were superb. Always stayed Soi's 7 & 8, stayed Sunbeam, and Sunshine before on Soi 8 and had varying issues with the staff or room etc but Eastiny 7 was ideal. Depending on the Baht i hope to be staying there again in September 09 for another 4 weeks, if not this hotel gonna give Soi LK Metro a try.
