Top Charoen, 2nd Road at soi 12 or 13. 4300THB, progressive bifocal, flex arms on the frame, nice matte black frame that I've got lots of compliments on, exam and delivery in 36 hours.

Nice young woman named Parawat.

If you only need generic reading glasses, my mate bought some of the collapsable frames in case type for 500-600 baht from a stall on beach road around soi 13.

There seems to be opticians everywhere, but apart from the attractive assistants I have never seen any customers in them. Does anyone else have experience with progressive lenses, quality and price?

Go to FLB have a few beers!!!!!

When you come out on the opposite side of the rd slightly to your right there are some stalls I bought a pair of bi focals there for 150baht they are the best glasses I have.

I did go to Top Charoen in Mikes Shopping Mall and have a delightful little girl called Annie get me a set for 2800 baht but the ones from the stall were better.

neiler,

Got two pair off the foldaway reading glasses on Beach Road corner of Soi 13/3 for 300Baht.

Lighters at the same stall they would not go below 200B

Same lighter in a stall in walking street 100B. So it pays to shop around.

Doug.
