Thought that couild be of interest. The Sabai Lodge is offereing off season room again for 800 baht. Its ok but there is a lot of work going on in this area including big changes at the Sabai. Book with care as its also being taking over by very noisy mobs of Indians that can only speak at full speed and volume.

Speaking of soi 2; have you gone by the new hotel there called SOI 2 INN? How does it look?

The place is fine except that it is at least 400/500 per night too expensive.

Yes, there is nothing special about it to justify the prices on their website in which they claim its a 3000 baht room.

 

It's your basic 900 baht room already on the way to becoming another mediocre hotel run by people who don't care.

 

I spent a night there three months ago and felt slightly ripped of at 1200, but it was fine for what it was.....then.
