He was saying what sounded like Tao-lat on his megaphone.

roasted Chestnuts, I know the Guy he is from the same village as my GF have had a chat with him a few times, If you like chestnuts then his are good

(theyre much better however fresh, straight out of the great wok of hot grit they roast them in)

 

An institution in Bangkok's China town where you buy them in kilo boxes and have to negotiate Yarowat Road with care so as not to get gassed or burned by the stalls cooking them
