Having to log in each time

Recommended Posts

I am having to log in every time I visit the forum also I am getting logged out automatically.

Yesterday was strange, I was logged in viewing the pics in the Fun section. I could read all the text but the pics would not show and every time I clicked on the link to view the pic it came back with an error asking me to log in even though I was already logged in.

I'll post a few screenshots, they might help.............

If I click on Wedding.jpg ............

I get this...........

Having to log in ever time to

Do you have the Remember Me checked? That will save your login to the next time.

If so, check your browser settings to make sure you have enabled saving cookies.

If you were able to use the forum before, you probably have them enabled. In that case, delete the cookies for pattayatalk.com, or delete all your cookies and try again. It might be a case of a damaged or misshapen cookie. Hate when that happens.

Mostly it doesn't completely load all of the pictures someone posts, and if i reply to a thread with pictures, my reply will appear in the middle of the pictures and then after a while not appear atall.

I have seen this happen on earlier versions of the software. It's usually a connection related problem where some images don't load and it just skips them. Refreshing the screen can frequently reload all the images.

What I'm after is problems that are unique to this version of the software.

Another problem. When I try to log in as per your screenshot, the party banner covers over where I input name and password.

Yeah, that's a "bug", but Invision says it's a problem with Flash, and has closed the problem as "Not our problem".

The solution to that is to drag the scrollbar down a bit, and then the login page remains, but the advertising banner is dragged "up", off screen.

Didn't work tonight it doesn't remember me.

Yes

Yes

Okay, I don't know what to say other than check that your cookies are being kept across sessions. How you do this depends on the browser you are using. If you are cleaning your cache and cookies when you close your browser, then it will continue to happen.

I can say, it doesn't happen ... EVER ... to me, and I have no special "keep logged on" privileges, so it's possibly something in your setup.

Ok, I never tried that. I did try to drag the whole log in window down the page a bit but it wouldn't drag.

No big deal.

Now you mention it, I think this has only started happening since I started running Google Chrome alongside IE8.

I seem to notice when I switch browsers to access the site, I have to log in again. Not sure, haven't run a test to see, but definitely have to log in sometimes when I change browsers, even if I was logged into that browser before.

After I deleted my cookies I had to log back into things that I stay logged into, which is causing a delay as I don't remember all the user names so having send emails to get log in or passwords but once its done its remembering just not on pp it only remembers my user name.

If you use firefox, the first time you log in to a site, and any time you change your password, firefox will ask if you want it to remember the username/password. After that you will see your username filled in and your password filled but with asterisks hiding the characters. This is independent of cookies. The data is kept in a file which can itself be password protected. I'm pretty sure Opera and chrome do this also

This is her first mention of it not filling in the password. I thought the issue was that she had to log in each time (a cookie issue usually). Remembering passwords is a different kettle of fish, and needs to be addressed based on the browser type.

Also, aussiechic, I recommend you google "roboform". Great program for not having to email and call people when you forget your passwords.
