Gyms at pattaya - which to choose?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

In march I'm going to visit pattaya for 1.5 weeks, I'll stay at LK renaissance.

I found 3 main gyms: Tony's fitness at the 3rd road, California wow at the avenue and Universe gym at Sukhumvit.

I heard tony's fitness is the best from the 3 gyms, any information?

Also, I didnt' find the price for this period for the california wow gym, does someone know the price?

Thanks!

For your short time, Tony's would be best. He also has a gym on walking street. Calif. Wow charges 500-1000 baht a visit, depending on how much they think they can get out of you, plus an hour of them trying to sell you a "lifetime" membership. Paying daily in Tony's is relatively cheap. There are some small gyms that pop up from time to time in the area, I don't pay much attention. There was a small gym on soi Bakaow walking distance from soi LK, but I'm not sure if it's still there. I'm sure if you worked out a day at Tony's, someone could tell you about a closer to your guesthouse gym.

I paid about 2000 baht for 2 weeks at Tony's Sportworld - which I felt was rather expensive bearing in mind they offer one years membership for about 7000. However its a very good gym with excellent equipment and you do get the use of the swimming pool.

After my 2 weeks with Tony I went regularly to the Universe on Sukumvit Road. This only costs 80 baht a visit and as a gym its nearly as good as Tonys. I did have a motor-bike so the trip to Universe was not a problem, but by baht bus it might be a little awkward.

Dont bother with the Tony Gym on Soi Buakow - its has no air-conditioning and the equipment is poor.

STATEMENT FROM ‘TONY’S PROPERTY AND BUSINESS’

We at ‘Tony’s Property and Business’ are listing the company’s inventory of assets on the market to evaluate market demands and develop our expansion program and services to the fitness community.

Our transformation plans to make a bigger and better ‘Tony’s Fitness group’ will soon see results.

Pattaya will have several more gyms within the next year, featuring new and better equipment, some of which will also be assigned for our current facilities.

We also will be venturing further out into Chonburi province and beyond.

Let us state here and now that we will not be closing or scaling down our operation, just the opposite, we are focused on expansion and giving better services to our members.

Please feel free to contact me if anyone has any queries, I would be only too happy to respond.

Looking forward to serving the community for another decade.

Thanks, but I'm looking for a gym with heavy weight equipments.

So as I see the tony's gym closed, too bad.

Hi there, which gym are you referring to, the one on Soi 16 has moved to Walking street and the old one on third road has also moved to opposite the fitness center but none have closed. We currently have 7 gyms in and around Pattaya with more to come, we are presently looking expand our Soi Buakhow gym new premises. If you are looking for heavy weights and equipment, our 'Sport World' gym on third road, is ideal.
