Mother – Shihtzu

 

Pups are 8 weeks old on the 13/12/11 and due to be vaccinated this coming Saturday.

The mother’s milk dried up about 3 weeks ago and have been hand fed since, they drink milk (Human baby powder milk) from a bowl in the morning then graze on dried puppy dog kibble during the day and have a cooked meal of chicken/vege’s and rice in the evening, yes they are fat little puppies !!

 

2 Boys, 1Black/White 1 Brindle.

1 Girl - Black/White.

They look cute,but I have a question apropos nothing at all ,will they be ok In Thai heat with coats that thick? As most dogs I see in Thailand have smooth(ish) type coats.

Both parents visit the salon once a month to keep their coats shortish, they go ok in the heat.

My TGF has a Shihtzu and it seems to be okay with the heat and really appreciates the full coat when the weather is cool in the village now. She also takes it to the pet salon for a trimming about every 6 weeks during the hot season. They are cute and fun little dogs and very loyal. I remember that my ex-wife had one and it protected her quite well, even when I was only teasing. Not dangerous, so to speak, but very, very vocal.

In theory they should be a small dog, the Father is about 12 inches tall and weighs about 5kg, the mother even less.

Shoodles

A Shoodle is a Shih-tzu x Toy Poodle, they are a small dog with a very thick low to non shedding coat. A Shoodle can be suited to apartment style living or to a typical house hold environment. A Shoodle is a very loyal companion.

No worries mate, I reckon they will still be here which kinda sucks as there is actually 5 of them and the missus is keeping 2........... I do not want 7 dogs so I seriously hope these go.
