How many expats know or really understand the pension transfer rules to take YOUR money offshore. Yes correct YOUR MONEY.

With pensions now only going to get tighter and very low returns say 3%, why not take offshore. We can help with a FREE consultation, in Pattaya, or Bangkok, whichever suits. Make up a group or individual just for a chat.

This post has been reported as SPAM, but I am of the opinion that it is an offer of services written specifically for sites in Thailand.

Spam is generally automated, indiscriminate transmission of a message, usually with links for search engines to encounter.

Of course, caveat emptor applies.

QROPS is something that is relevant only to people in UK pension schemes. For a pension fund member not yet drawing his pension and not intending to return to the UK, it could be a wise move.

However, there are many hurdles and risks involved. It is an area where some middle men are making rich pickings and in which there are people operating with fraudulent intent .

I would urge anyone of thinking of setting up a QROPS to take considerable care they fully understand the ramifications, and check very carefully the experience and repute of any adviser they employ. This is particularly the case if they are moving out of a final salary (defined benefits) scheme.

My friend investigated this and found there was no benefit to him. At least he was fortunate to get an honest answer.

What country are you talking about? You are knowledgeable in pension and offshore account laws for all countries?

Well im keeping mine in the UK ,was reported 2 years ago in the press that my private pension scheme was one of the best in Europe

Im with British steel pension ,also paid 38 years into this on finale salary ,so it least i will have good income living

here in Thailand.

I will take the tax free lump sum and smaller monthly payment, invest in fix term ,fix interest rate ,at least il know what money i will have and plan my living budget on this.

At least living in Thailand I can receive gross on my interest on my uk saving accounts.

All rather conservative Mick.

Fixed term deposits in the UK pay very poor returns these days and I might suggest an alternative.

Even a fixed term deposit in Thailand would be better.
