Swiss Air-Manchester-Zurich-Bangkok

Recommended Posts

I have the opportunity to fly to and from Europe using Swiss Air however there seems very little written about them. I realise that there is a reasonable break with the above flight but I can handle that. I would however be interested in hearing back about what people thoughts are about this Company, planes, seats, meals, drinks etc as I know nothing about it as it does not fly from my home country.

I fly with the SWISS and I like really much the airline. Newly looking, clean airplanes, relatively good food, enough space to sit. ( Lufthansa, Lauda Air has smaller places ) The airport also very clean and nice ( one of the best smoking room ) Check the terminal about the railway.....

Thanks for the update. Strangely enough, they advertise quite expensive fares but the package I bought was a real bargain basement price.

Yes, they are quite expensive, but you can pick the " special days " for a bargain... The average price from Budapest to Bangkok is 1000+ GBP, but being free with the choice of the timing and using the special days I got my 8 months ticket for less, than 500 GBP...

They are typically, less than 600 quid from Manchester. If speed of delivery to/from LOS is your priority from MAN, they can't be beaten. They also provide a decent alternative to travelling to LHR, if you opt for the Thai codeshare. They change their offers frequently, so it's worth visiting their website on a weekly basis, or so.

Hey Jim

Just seen this post

Swiss are really good, I used them on my first trip to LOS in 2006 .

LHR to Zurich, Zurich to BKK.

No probs at all, good clean aircraft.

Plus Zurich has the best departure lounge of all times!

Chris

Stay safe buddy, if you get to the UK you better let me know mate.

I'd never forgive you if we didn't meet up for a few beers.
