Etihad Upgrade Auctions

I'm in two minds whether or not this is a good idea. Obviously if you are in economy, you have nothing to lose. However, if I've paid for a biz class ticket, the last thing I want is some numpty sat next to me telling me how clever he was getting an upgrade for 200 quid.

I wish they would stop spamming me. I used to get about 1 email off them a year telling me what my Etihad points are but now I seem to get about 1-2 a week,they must be hard up for customers.

When you try and bid for an upgrade from say Y to J you will see a minimum bid required. Etihad have had a trial for 'Make a Bid' over the last 2 months and average min bid is set between 250-300 pounds per sector.
