mate was booked from clark to BKK on Friday with Tiger. after he arrived at the airport he discovered they reschedule the plane by NINE HOURS. He decided to rebook for the next day, saturday. Turn up at the airport again today, only to find out that the plane has been cancelled. He has rebooked for tomorrow but given their track record so far he is not over confident.

Flew Tiger recently from CRK TO BKK.

The plane was maybe 85% full. Dunno if they are having problems filling the seats.

On a side note, I was in the middle seat in a full row. There were many empty aisle and window seats around us but the stewardess wouldn't let me move to one of the unoccupied seats.

I'm writing this from a Bangkok hotel because the Tiger flight from Swampy to Clark was canceled for the second straight day. There was nothing on the Tiger Web site about the cancellation before I left for the airport. Tiger comped the passengers on the canceled flight for a night in the hotel and dinner as well as breakfast and lunch tomorrow. Luckily the hotel at which I'll be staying in AC won't charge me for the night I missed.

But it's a major drag and I'll try to avoid Tiger as much as possible in the future.

Flying to Clark on Cebu Pacific tomorrow night - 'hope they're not having any such problems... (It's bad enough leaving at 2340 and getting in at 4AM!)

That was the reason I changed but its better than not getting there at all !!

Mate had three taxi trips to clarke and two back to his hotel plus had to pay for one nights accom booked in Pattaya and he lost two days of his 7 day break in pattaya.. It would have been cheaper to fly with cebu arrive at 4am and pay the previous nights accom.

At least thats something, I had an Air Asia flight from Swampy to KL , which was delayed, they gave us a 100 baht "meal voucher" (at the airport...a coffee is 90 baht) and two hours later when the flight was cancelled they set us loose on our own with no help at all..

Happened to me at a Cebu flight as well last March.

Flight got cancelled, somthing wrong with the plane.

They put us in a hotel and we flew to Clark about 14 hours later the next day.

Cebu gave every passenger a free flight which had to be obtained within 6 months.

Oh shit ! first time I have booked with Tiger and its only a short 5 day break from Pattaya during my visit there in November ! Its a shame they seem to be messing people about and letting Cebu get the passengers the timings are so much better than Cebu.

A short update: The flights on June 30 and July 1 were canceled by Tiger and the flight on July 2 was fully booked, so passengers who were supposed to have flown on June 30 and July 1 were given the option of waiting another day in hopes of getting on the Cebu Pacific flight to Clark on the next day, July 3. But Tiger didn't even know if seats were available. I simply requested a refund at at that point and took a flight to Manila on Cebu later that night.

Never again with Tiger. They cancel flights too often and don't offer realistic help when they do.
