No Joiner Fee Hotels in Chiang Mai?

Can anybody give me some recent info here please?

 

A few years ago I stayed at what was the Montri Hotel.

I think its changed hands, so might have its policy.

 

Am considering the Raming Lodge.

I'll be up there in November.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

A few months ago I stayed at Royal Lanna Hotel in the center of Chiang Mai.

 

It was ok and guest/girl friendly.

I stayed at Raming Lodge a couple of years ago.

No charge for 1 girl, not sure about 2.

This is a nice place, well situated, good value and guest friendly.

I stayed at Top North last time, no charge for my guests too.

 

The hotel is not so budget but worth every dime in my opinion. Besides, the location is great, located with there in the middle of Tha Phae Gate, only few minutes walk to the bars on Loi Kroh Rd.

 

November is a high season for Chiang Mai, reservation should be done by now but i guess you already knew that.

I stayed in Lai Thai Guesthouse about 3 years ago and it was guest friendly then. About 12 of my friends stayed there October last year and it still was (at least for that number of paying guests). Have a look at their website - great food, good location and lovely pool too:
