Some words highlighted on web page then lead to advertising

Somehow recently a virus or malware has gotten on to my computer.Certain words are highlighted and when you scroll your mouse on to them small advertisements pop up..

I was wondering how you get rid of this and if it can become more harmful to my computer?

If that doesn't fix it you might need to buy the full version or reformat and reinstall all your software. I doubt you want to go through all that hastle..

It didn't work but did take Internet explorer off of my computer somehow?

using firefox with no script add on can be set to stop scripted element.

I guess you have been to add and remove programs. it could be clickster or gamevance. Ask ready over at Philippine secrets he had them there for a while and may know something about removing them. ps. i know as much about computers as you but don't download anything to remove them or you will have trouble locating and removing that as well . . http://blog.iobit.co...-exe_43609.html
