Can someone tell me if they know of any hotels in Pattaya  which have outside entrances, where the girls do not have to pass through a lobby?   I tend to have several guests per day and would rather that  my guests do not see anyone from the staff.  Not a problem if the girls  do not leave their ID's with the front desk, as I would actually prefer they never see reception at all.  Bungalows that are detached from the main hotel are fine also;  1500-2000B is  my range and pool preferred.

 thanks very much in advance

The Welkom Inn has a back entrance on Soi 2.  The main entrance is on Soi 3.  In either case there is no lobby.

I like the place very much.  But book the most expensive room possible; it's well worth a couple of hundred extra baht as there is a big difference in room quality.

Sounds a bit funny. ::) What is the problem with the girls and reception? ??? The girls and reception are well used to butterflies as it is so common.

Is there something to hide? ;) ;D

no, nothing to hide,  but when you screw a lot and have a girl coming over at 1PM, 3 PM, 5PM and 8PM,  plus you come home with one at 2AM, it sometimes raises  eyebrows, and there are some places that charge joiner fee's and give you shit if you have more than one guest per day. I prefer  my privacy and  by having an outside entrance  where no staff can see what I am up to  I think it's better;  nothing fishy about that, is there?  Especially in this day and age  of the asshole  'volunteer police' and that Pattaya police chief sucking up to Thaksin, don't you think a  little discretion is  important?  I do.

thanks for these responses, guys; any others?  I see the advertisement for the Residence gardens here and it looks like a nice place, albeit a little off the beaten path.  The  reviews are generally favorable and it looks like the staff is friendly and doesn't care about guests. any recent thoughts about this place appreciated.

 thanks again for the input

Bob

This hotel has two buildings, to go to the rooms in the old building, you enter from the beach road and must to pass the reception,  while to the rooms in the new building you enter from soi 11,  need not to pass the reception.   The new building has a magnetic key at the entrans, every guest unlock the key by himself.    So, no knocking in the midnight by BGs of previous nights.    No  magnet key, no entery, so it's convenient for butterfly guys.

Rooms, a pool are OK.   No elevator.  Room charge I stayed at x'mas season in 1998 was around 1000Bht.

thanks; I actually  know of this place because I used to stay next door at the Nautical inn  [great deal for 550 baht  but now I can afford a wee bit better].  I will look into the Natural, which seemed to be a step up from the Nautical.

Hi, bkkbob,

I also used to be Nautical.  Nautical is really worth for money.

When I stayed Natural was peak season, Dx was 1200 Bht and St was 950 Bht.   It was said the room charge is cheaper in other seasons.

The DX room was little larger than the room in Nautical.   The room had a 1m width veranda.

I did not found any other advantage over the Nautical, I thought both were at the same level.

But the magnet key entrans to the hotel building apeals to me.

You can also bypass the Residence Garden lobby desk if you walk all the way down the driveway and go up a flight of stairs that leads directly to the elevator. They do drag a high metal gate across this area (and lock it) usually around 9 P.M., however. But this route would work for you and your earlier "guests."

thank you leadbelly....that was  a  very hopeful response because I was  already considering this place based on the great reviews up here.  To be truthful i am no different from any other guy up here; I just like being discreet and want to bring as little attention to myself as possible. one of the reviews  even talked about how the sabai lodge  gave 1  guy the dirty looks  every time he brought a new girl in there, and who needs that crap?

I was a nautical inn guy for years; get a nice  poolside room and keep your key with you and no one can see what the hell you are doing day and night.  at 550B a night it really is a great place,  but time to move on after staying there for 5 years.  I was in the Pattaya Centre last  year in a suite and liked it a lot,  but  i wasn't butterflying around too much on that trip so I really don't know how their policy is on multiple guests.

Looks like Residence Gardens may be the winner and I thank every one up here for their responses.

You could try the Dynasty Resort (Yes, I really like the place!). If you ask for a room with a balcony you do not have to go through reception. They also have bungalows where you don't have to go through the lobby. The price for a room with balcony is 1200 baht and is superb. There is also a pool. On the downside the Resort is a little outside of Pattaya with a bahtbus costing about 80-100 baht and taking all of ten minutes to get there.

Their website is at www.dynastyinn.com They also offer free transport from Bkk to Pattaya if you spend one night at their hotel next to Nana Plaza and then 3 nights at the Resort hotel in Pattaya.

Wow man, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 8pm and 2am!!!

Good luck!

Hello-

This may not be quite the "quality" you are looking for but the Pig & Whistle has a back entrance off the small street that runs between Soi 7 and Soi 8. It's descreet and the guest can come and go as they please with no reception desk. I don't believe they have a pool though.

Tabmule.....can you tell me more about the Dynasty resort?  The bungalows and  balcony rooms sound nice; are they suites?  10 minutes from pattaya isn't bad because I usually rent a 'cycle anyway, but is it in the direction of North Pattaya or Jomtien?  their website is pretty    incomplete.

I don't always keep the  new-girl-every-2-hours  routine but it's nice to keep my options open, ya' know?  I have a teelac in BKK so whenever i go to Pattaya or Phuket I  tend to let loose.  the rates for everything down there is  so  much better than bangkok and finding a girl for 500/st is very possible, so taking home someone from the mall in the middle of the day is not unheard of.  bringing home someone else at the dinner hour and then again someone else at night is usually the drill, and I would hate getting  shit from some receptionist with an attitude.

thanks for the reply   Bob

Hi bkkbob .... The Dynasty Resort is up the hill towards Jomtien. The hill is quite steep and would probably be a struggle if you cycled. From Walking Street to the Resort is about 10 minutes. There is a free bahtbus into Pattaya from the resort every two hours from 2pm until 8pm. I seem to remember the 6pm one has been cancelled from last time I was there. However, you have to make your own arrangements to return. At the end of the road (The Resort is down a side road) there are many motorbike taxi's who are always available 24 hours per day, which is useful if your short-time lady needs to leave in the early hours. A motorcycle is 30-50 baht.

The pool is quite large and has poolside service from the staff who are really friendly. The pool seems to be quiet most of the time though. Fine if you prefer solitude.

The rooms with balconies I find are superb. They are pretty new at around a year or two old. The room has a large bathroom with shower. There is a sitting area with a large sofa and a dining table should you need to work or have a meal from room service. I personally recommend the chilli beef at around 200 baht. There is a TV which has lots of Thai channels and the usual CNN news type channels. The room has a good adjustable a/c unit. The balcony has a table and chairs and is almost palatial compared with some I have seen. It overlooks the hotel and surrounding grounds. I have a couple of photographs of the room I can send you.

The lobby has a bar and internet access and has a/c. I like to have a couple of beers there whilst waiting for the free bus and there are usually a few other farangs around to talk with. Newspapers such as the local Engish ones are provided along with Herald and Tribune and a German language Farang magazine.

I have never stayed in the bungalows but they look fine. You merely walk through the garden to get to them.

I'm not on a commission from the Dynasty! but I've been disappointed with some of the hotels I've used in Pattaya and Bangkok so I stay with the one I know and am never disappointed.

I'll try to message you the pictures, not sure if I'm able to though.

Good luck!
