I know I missed quite a bit of Chinatown out as I was walking through, but the heat and humity and the jet lag, as this was my first day in Thailand, had started to take its toll.

Enjoy..................

Good pictures. I always like Bangkok. There's lots to see and do.

In the past 3 or 4 trips, Bangkok has really started to grow on me, and ive started to spend more and more time there when im in Thailand.

Thanks for the picture report. What is the best way to get to China Town and where to eat? Best to visit at night? Where are the shopping stalls pictured located?

P.S. What is up with the western graffiti on the walls of the Cleopatra....LOL???

I agree. Bangkok is bristling with culture. I only wish the traffic could be mitigated a bit more. When the Sky train or underground aren't convenient the taxis are akin to standing still.

If you so make it to China Town I'd highly recommend this hotel. http://www.shanghaimansion.com/bangkok-hotel/bangkok-hotel.html

It was disappointing when we first saw it getting out of the taxi but once up the escalator and inside the hotel I felt like I'd stepped back in time.

From the food to the service it was totally outstanding.
