£ 430 UK to BKK on Cathay Pacific

Recommended Posts

I was on Skyscanner uk or simialr looking for direct flights to BKK and on the indirect, Cathay came up at £430. You will have to check your departure airport and time of departure but that is an incredible price.

The journey times were around a minimum of 16 hours inc the HKG stop, I wouldn't mind stopping there for 2 or 3 days but I doubt it would be in the fare rules for £430.

It is in the fare rules for that particular offer. Stopovers in HKG allowed in both directions at no extra charge. You'd need a decent travel agent to do the booking for you (Travelbag or Trailfinders shop come to mind), but it's a good option.

Terms and Conditions

1. Sale period until 10 August 2013.

2. Fares are for travel from London Heathrow.

3. Valid on all CX/KA operated flights.

4. Dates changes: Permitted at GBP100.

5. On changing the outbound travel date when permitted, if the itinerary results in a higher fare then difference applies along with the date change fee. If the itinerary results in a lower fare then the date change fee still applies and no refund will be made.

6. Name changes are not allowed.

7. Cancellations/Refunds: No refund.

8. No-show: Fee of GBP100 if re-booking only.

9. Stopovers permitted in HKG free of charge on both directions.

10. Fares are subject to change without prior notice. Other Terms and Conditions apply.

11. The fares detailed in the offer/promotion are subject to availability and offered on a first come, first served basis. The limited number of seats for the subject fare allocated to a particular flight may be fully booked although seats are still available in other fare types in the same class of travel.

Note: The fares displayed include taxes, fees and surcharges, which are subject to change at the time of booking due to currency fluctuations.

Well done CT.

How can you beat an offer like this even if you don't stay over in Hong Kong?

Thanks Gus for bringing it to our attention.

I once got a flight from London Airport to Hong Kong and onwards to Manila. The stopover in HK was @ 6 hours only. Just enough time to get the train into Wanchai? district where I had a few drinks in the various bars and got a taste of the place. It left me wanting for more. Maybe I should forget P4P and go back there for a real good time.

My first trip to Thailand was via Hong Kong, I used up my Virgin Atlantic miles for a Business trip out and Premium economy back, with a Thai Airways economy flight paid for seperately, back in 2003.

I cannot see me booking this offer because I need to see my Hospital consultant on the 29th just to give me the Green light to fly long haul following my DVT last November.

If you'll excuse the pun, it's been a long haul getting back to consider flying again, but I am 99% certain that it will be all systems go.

I have sent off for my new passport, that's £72.50 plus postage etc

I had a terrific first experience of a pay for play lady in Hong Kong, I wasn't looking for a girl, just a bar to drink, well they say the first time is always the best, with everything, maybe the passage of time has clouded my judgement, but I swear she was as beautiful as Lucy Liu. :-)
