Free fridge

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house.
To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a
sign on it saying: 'Free to good home. You want it, you take it.'
For three days the fridge sat there without anyone looking twice.
He eventually decided that people were too mistrustful of this deal.
So he changed the sign to read: 'Fridge for sale $50.'

The next day someone stole it!

That wouldn't happen where I live. Leave metal near the road more than one hour and the scavengers will pick it up. I have warned them many times that bikes are off limits no matter where they are parked.

True story, a buddies dog had puppies. He put them in the paper "free to good home" and did not get a single call. The next weekend he advertised them for $50.00 each and sold them all. Said he got phone calls even after they were all sold. It makes you wonder.
