Thai buddha street market, Bangkok.

Recommended Posts

This must be the biggest market ive ever seen in Thailand dedicated to selling just one thing, Buddha amulets. It seems to follow the road all along the river around the Grand Palace/Wat Po area, and must stretch for at least 1.5 miles in length.

From your posted photos, it seems they sell more food than Buddhas.... However, I have found that the Buddha market on the sidewalk in Chinatown is pretty good. I have watched some people bargain for quite a long time, and quite earnestly, to get the one they want at the price they want.

The food photos were taken at the river boat station. The amount of stalls there only amount to about 50 meters of stalls. Make no mistake about it, all those Buddha amulet stalls cover nearly the best part of 2 miles of walkway around the outer walls of the Palace. I have more photos of these stalls, but they are not the best quality shots.
