Info on Westin Grande Hotel Bangkok?

Priceline got me.  I was trying to get into the Marriott but ended up with reservations at my price at another 5 star--the Westin Grande Sukhumvit.  Has anybody stayed there?  Is it TG friendly?  Last time I use priceline!

Apparently, the rennovated rooms are exceptional, and the non-rennovated rooms are okay.  From what I have read for $60-70,  it is a pretty good deal.

All I can say is that in all my various message board perusing, I don't recall any negative comments about overnight guests at the WG.  I assume that if one is no problem, two should not be a problem either.

Is that the hotel over Robinsons?

It used to be called the Grand Pacific.  It was refurbished and rebranded as Westin at the end of last/beginning of this year.

I actually tried to get into the Westin Grand earlier in the month and couldn't get any good rates.  I preferred the location, easy walk to Soi cowboy, close to Asoke skytrain, girl friendly, overall pleasant experiencel last October. Maybe not quite as nice as the JW but close.
